Every boss and minigame pet with a flat kill rate, from the OSRS Wiki pet table.

Filled by the preset; edit for boosted rates (e.g. on task).

Kills at that boss without the pet so far.

Your pet chance over the next N kills.

How to use the pet chance calculator

  1. Choose your pet; the rate fills in automatically.
  2. Enter the kills you've done at that boss.
  3. See your pet chance so far, and what the next stretch of kills is worth.

How pet drops work

Boss pets roll as a flat 1-in-N chance per kill, independent of loot, so the same formula as any drop applies:

P(pet by now) = 1 − (1 − 1/N)^K

Worked example: a 1/3,000 pet after 2,000 kills gives 1 − (2999/3000)2000 ≈ 48.7%, which is nearly a coin flip, even though the average grind is 3,000 kills.

All preset rates were verified against the official OSRS Wiki pet table on 2026-09-30. Some pets have conditional rates (TzRek-Jad doubles its chance on a Slayer task, for example), and those notes travel with the preset.

What's not in this list

Skilling pets (beaver, rock golem and friends) don't use a flat per-kill rate: their chance depends on your level and the action, so they need their own math and aren't preset here. Raid pets like the Olmlet and Tumeken's guardian also roll from reward mechanics rather than a flat rate. For anything missing, tell us and we'll consider adding it.

Frequently asked questions

Which pet is the rarest?

Of the flat rates in our list: Tiny Tempor from Tempoross at 1/8,000, ahead of the God Wars Dungeon bosses and Corporeal Beast at 1/5,000. Raid and minigame pets with reward-based rolls can be rarer still.

Can I get a pet and a unique drop in the same kill?

Yes, pets are a separate tertiary roll, so they don't compete with unique loot. A lucky kill can hand you both.

Do boosts like Slayer tasks change pet rates?

For a few pets, yes: TzRek-Jad goes from 1/200 to 1/100 on task, and Jal-Nib-Rek from 1/100 to 1/75. Where a preset has a boosted version, the note says so; you can also just type the boosted rate yourself.

My kill count is huge and I still have no pet. Is that possible?

Unfortunately, yes. A 1/3,000 pet still escapes about 1 in 20 players after 9,000 kills. Check exactly how rare your streak is with the dry calculator.

Does dying or leaving the boss reset anything?

No. Pet rolls happen per kill and nothing carries over or resets. Only the kills you complete count.
